Myrtice Wright Brown, 84, of Brinson, GA, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Highway Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Benjamin Miller and Rev. Andy Glover officiating. Interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery with David A. Brogdon, Jessie Brogdon, James Cooper, Deon Foster, Sonny Robinson, and Lawrence Scott serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Brown was born March 21, 1927 in Brinson. GA, the daughter of Henry Scott and Ola Phillips Scott. She was a press worker for Williamson Dickies with over 25 years of service and she enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and camping. Survivors include her daughters, Iwana Byrd of Brinson, GA, Ann Scott and her husband, Walter, of South Carolina, Linda Thiel and her husband, Mike, of Wisconsin, and Shirley Callaghan and her fiancé, Dennis, of Brinson, GA; her brother, Jim Scott of Bainbridge, GA; her sisters, Myrtle Kornor of Venice, FL and Mable Scott of Brinson, GA; her special friend, Johnny Meeks; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
