Myrtice Harrell Forrest, 88, of Climax, GA, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Consulate Health Care in Tallahassee, FL. The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Mars Hill Cemetery near Climax, GA with Rev. Paul Medley officiating. Mrs. Forrest was born March 12, 1922 in Climax, GA, the daughter of Clarence Harrell and Ellie Prevatte Harrell. She was formerly in the catering business and belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star in Highland City, FL. Myrtice was preceded in death by her husband, John Forrest; and her brother, Crawford Harrell. Survivors include her son, Hal Kersey of Winter Haven, FL; her daughter, Judith Reeder of Chattahoochee, FL; her brother, Kenneth Harrell of Bartow, FL; her sisters, Virginia Allen of Chattahoochee, FL, and Ruth Branford of Chatham, NJ; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
