Nancy Carolyn Glass

Nancy Carolyn Glass, affectionately known as Carolyn, passed away peacefully on May 16, in her home surrounded by her husband, Bryan, her son Jerry, and her dog, Jojo. It was a quiet end to a courageous battle with Alzheimers.

Carolyn Glass was born on August 7, 1944, in Blakely, Georgia, to Lewis Boyd White and Suzie McCracken White. She was a loving mother to her sons, Jerry and Jeff, and a devoted wife to Bryan Glass. Her family was her heart beat. She treasured her role as Meme and deeply loved her grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bainbridge. Carolyn loved to fish and spent much time on the water at their house in Howard Creek, Florida. She also was a talented painter who left behind many treasures.

Carolyn’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by her husband, Bryan Glass, and their “educated canine” ,Jojo, her sons, Jerry Daniel (Marni) of Athens, Georgia, Jeff Daniel of Cave Junction, Oregon, Jeff Glass (Leah) of Tallahassee, Florida, Todd Glass (Robin) of Lake Blackshear, Georgia, and Scott Cloud (Missy) of Altha, Florida; grandchildren, Olivia Daniel, Madison Glass, Harper Buckner (Thomas), Wimberly Langley (Austin), and Carson Glass; great-grandchildren, Mary Page and Ward Langley. She is deeply loved by her surviving siblings, Eunice Waller, Evelyn Powell, Rodney White, and Laura Musgrove. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Suzie McCracken White; her son, Christopher Michael Daniel; and siblings, Linda Bryan, Tommy White, Diane Brock, and Sarah Glover.

Services to honor and celebrate the life of Carolyn Glass will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 23, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home at 502 S Scott St, Bainbridge, GA 39819. The Rev. Chris Humphries will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 10:00 am. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony that afternoon in Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany, Georgia. Cox-Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
