Nancy Johnson

Nancy Jeanne Olson Johnson, age 78, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018, at her home in Climax, Georgia. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, 2:00 p.m., in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian Hatchett will officiate. Nancy was born March 29, 1940, in Wenatchee, Washington. Her parents, William Liberty Olson and Frances Elaine Mitchell Olson have preceded her in death. Nancy was raised in the Seattle, Washington area. She spent most of her adult life in Brunswick, Georgia. Nancy was a gifted nurse and loved taking care of others. She retired after 35 years of nursing. Nancy was an avid reader and dearly loved her cats. Nancy Johnson will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Nancy Johnson is survived by her daughters, Valerie Johnson (Mike Volpe) of St. Marys, Georgia; Vivian Barker (Kevin Barker) of Climax, Georgia; and Windie Burriss of California; grandchildren, Danielle Volpe, Michelle Volpe, Michael Roberson, and Matthew Gregory; and great-grandchildren, Lars Gregory and Georgianna Volpe.
