Nancy Nutting

Nancy Rowan Nutting, 71, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Edmunds officiating and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Nutting was born March 7, 1941 in Donalsonville, GA, the daughter of David Lafayette Rowan and Thelma Laverne Nix Rowan. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1960, and was the bookkeeper for George Nutting Company, Inc. Mrs. Nutting was a homemaker and foster parent for many years. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, George K. Nutting of Bainbridge, GA; her brothers, Marvin Willis of Cairo, GA, Johnny Willis of Tallahassee, FL, and Jody Logue of Bainbridge, GA; her sisters, Carolyn Lane of Bainbridge, GA, Janie Glass of Bainbridge, GA, and Sandra Moore of Bainbridge, GA. Mrs. Nutting was preceded in death by her sons, George D. Nutting and Robert J. Nutting; her brother, David Rowan; and her sister, Mary Ann Boyd.
