Nettie Glover

Funeral Services for Nettie Lee King Glover, 88, will be held on Thursday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at Cox-Ivey Funeral Home, Bainbridge, GA with Reverend Arnold Buckner officiating. The service will conclude at the chapel. She will be interred in the Blackjack Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will gather at the home of Steve and Martha King, 229 Dollar Drive, Bainbridge, GA.
Mrs. Glover died on September 9, 2024 at her residence. She grew up and raised her family in Decatur County as a working Mom. She was a loving and dedicated wife for 25 years to the late Jack King, Sr. She loved and cherished her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She believed in family and made special efforts to bring the family together, especially at holidays and family celebrations. She was quick witted, enjoyed making others laugh, and enjoyed life. Her home was the center for family gatherings, and she loved deeply. She was married to the late Talmadge Glover of Camilla, Georgia for 35 years. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with family members. Nettie was a member of Cotton Assembly Church in Pelham, Georgia. She faithfully served many years as secretary and treasurer.
Survivors include her four children, Steve King (Martha) and Jack (Bo) King, Jr. both of Bainbridge, Sonya Williamson (Tommy) of Climax, and Telisa Hall (Larry) of Moultrie, Georgia; her sister, Mary Bridges of Brinson, Georgia ; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents, Dawson and Bertha Stripling Norred, her husbands, her sisters, Joyce Brown and Grace McElroy and her granddaughter, Brandy Whitaker.
