Oscar Dennis "O.D." Singleton, 61, of the Delwood Community near Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, April 3, 2009 at his residence. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Delwood Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery with Sammy Newsome, Darin Singleton, Ryan Simpson, Jeff Simpson, Harry Sullivan, Chris Dean, Shawn Dean and Jimmy Hill serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Singleton was born March 3, 1948 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Oscar George Singleton and Juanita Elders Singleton. He graduated from Bainbridge High School, Class of 1966, and from ABAC and the University of Georgia. He was a farmer, realtor, and a member of Delwood Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Hines Singleton of Camilla, GA; his daughter, Natalee Singleton of Birmingham, AL; his mother, Juanita Elders Singleton of Camilla, GA; his brother, Gene Singleton of Brinson, GA; his sister, Pamela S. Simpson and her husband Roy of Camilla, GA; two nephews, Ryan Simpson and his wife Lisa of Cordele, GA and Jeff Simpson of Camilla, GA; a great nephew, Blake Simpson; and a great niece, Ansley Simpson.
