Ollie Duke

Ollie Mae Duke, 83, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Dawson and Rev. Bob Nipper officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with her grandsons serving as active pallbearers and James Glass serving as an honorary pallbearer. Mrs. Duke was born November 27, 1925 in Seminole County, GA, the daughter of Robert Lee Daniels and Laura Mae Norris Daniels. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert B. Daniels, her sister, Marie Phillips and her grandson, Dallas Anthony Duke. Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, Charlie Duke of Bainbridge, GA; three sons, David Duke and his wife Linda of Eldorendo, GA, Randy Duke and his wife Terry of Thomasville, GA and Phillip Duke and his wife Jena of Tallahassee, FL; two daughters, Vesta Bush and her husband Bob of Orlando, FL and Lorrie Fite and her husband David of Andalusia, AL; two sisters, Mildred Cason of Hudson, FL and Hazel McLendon of Bainbridge, GA; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
