Ouida Thomas

Mrs. Ouida Epps Thomas, age 87, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, at Rose City Health and Rehab in Thomasville, Georgia. Services for Mrs. Thomas will be held Saturday, July 3, 10:00 a.m., at The Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian Hatchett will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Mrs. Thomas will be buried in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Ouida was born in Bradenton, Florida on June 29, 1933. Her parents, Horace S. Epps and Gladys Alderman Epps have preceded her in death. Ouida married Beecher Thomas, who preceded her in death on March 31, 1994. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. A devout Christian, she deeply loved her God and her family. She was kind-hearted and sweet natured. Ouida worked in sales at Belk for over 40 years. Ouida Thomas will be dearly missed by the family she loved so much and her many friends. Mrs. Thomas is survived by sons, Oral Thomas and Darrell Thomas of Bainbridge; sisters, Yvonne Epps Bass (Tommy) of Bainbridge, Donna Epps Oliver (Barry) of Cartersville, Georgia, Terri Epps White (Bruce) of Savannah, Georgia; grandchildren, Daniel Allen Thomas (Egidia Contreras Thomas) and Heather Nicole Brown (Gregory), great grandchildren, Henry Thomas, Maximo Thomas, Emily Morton, and Mason Brown.
