Mrs. Paddy Marie Dillard Dale, age 77, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at her home in Bainbridge, Georgia. The service for Mrs. Dale will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 31, 2014, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chuck Bostick and Rev. Randy Mosely will officiate. The family will be at Cox Chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m. until funeral time to greet and visit with friends. A private interment will be held at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Paddy was born December 31, 1936 in Umatilla, Florida to Emery Warner Dillard, Sr. and Ollie Mae Patterson Dillard. She married Billy H. Dale. After 36 years of marriage Billy preceded her in death on November 9, 2008. Moving to Bainbridge from College Park, Georgia, Paddy worked 19 years at Georgia Industry for the Blind. She also served as Superintendent of the Florida School for the Blind for 3 years. Paddy was an avid University of Georgia football fan. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church and the Sunshine Circle. Mrs. Dale served on the Georgia Council for the Blind and was a devoted member of the Daytime Lions Club of Bainbridge. She was a member of Woodman of the World. Paddy Dale is survived by her daughter, Donna Marie Green of Clarksville, Tennessee; step-daughter, Tina Boyett and husband, Lee of Bainbridge; brothers, Emery Dillard, Jr. of Tavares, Florida and Murrell L. Dillard and wife, Mary Helen of Umatilla, Florida; 2 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sue Bowen of Jackson, Georgia; many nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the Georgia Lions' Camp for the Blind, Inc., 5626 Laura Walker Road, Waycross, Georgia 31503-6488.
