Palmer Andy DowningApril 27, 1962 - February 2, 2023 Palmer Andy Downing, age 60, of Chancellor, Alabama, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 in Miramar Beach, Florida. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Bainbridge Church of God with Rhonda Downing officiating. The family will have a time of visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. before the services. A private interment will be held at Corinth Cemetery. Andy was born on April 27, 1962 to Mildred and Palmer Downing. He graduated from Early County High School in 1980 and later attended Troy University on a band scholarship. Andy could play the drums and guitar and enjoyed his private music studio at home. He loved golf and was a talented singer-songwriter. Andy is survived by his son, Jordan Downing (wife Hunter) of Hull, GA; his daughter, Kaitlyn Downing (Ben Maxwell) of Bainbridge, GA; step-daughter, Tiffani Austin of Bainbridge, GA; grandchildren, Presli Austin, Bella Austin, Paysli Maxwell, Nola Austin, Keigan Downing, and Owen Downing; He also leaves behind his siblings, Martha Hobby, Randy Downing (wife Rhonda), Sandra Smith, and Donna Jackson (husband Ernie); brother in laws, Marvin Ellis and Stan Dean; several nieces and nephews from Alabama and Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Linda Sue Ellis, Danny Downing, Sheila Jenkins, and Diane Sorrells Dean.
