Bainbridge

Patricia Landrum Barlow, age 77, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 15, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida. Around four hours later her precious husband, Joseph E. Barlow, joined her in death. After 56 years of marriage, even death could only separate them for four hours. Together, forever.

Services for Joe and Pat will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, 11:00 am, in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. The Rev. Nate Lehman will officiate. Due to weather concerns, the service will conclude in the chapel. The Barlows will be privately interred in Oak City Cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service, beginning at 10:00 am.

Patricia was born January 29, 1948, in Bainbridge, Georgia. Her parents, Earnest C. Landrum and Hilda Belle Eidson Landrum, were so proud of their beautiful little girl. With her dad serving in the military, they were able to travel and spend time in so many wonderful places. Pat especially loved the time she spent living in Paris. Pat married the love of her life, Joseph Edward Barlow. She and Joe enjoyed 56 years of marriage and were blessed with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pat was a nurturing, loving person. She became a registered nurse and shared her nursing skills and caring ways with so many people. She had an open heart and an open home to all who needed her. Pat was a talented photographer and loved to go to the beach. She loved music; her favorites were Bob Dylan and Joan Baez. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Bainbridge. Her family was her heartbeat, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pat Barlow will be remembered for her loving heart and caring ways; never to be forgotten.

Just a bit after Pat left this world, Joe followed her. Joseph Edward Barlow, age 76, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia. Joe was born January 17, 1949, in Wilmington, Ohio, to James Barlow and Georgeann Gregory Barlow. He was a people person. He was always ready to help and loved to stay busy. He was the owner of Barlow Paint and Body Shop. Joe was very gifted in his ability to restore classic cars to their original beauty. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and enjoyed time spend in services. Joe was an active member of the Orion Lodge #8 F & AM. He had a servant’s heart and cared deeply for those around him. He worried about everyone. Not liking down time, he enjoyed remodeling homes and, like classic cars, renovated them with expert care and attention. He enjoyed riding his bicycle in and around downtown Bainbridge when time and weather allowed. Joe was much loved by so many people and will be deeply missed by those he left behind.

Pat and Joe are survived by their children, Jason Shawn Barlow (Casey) and Jennifer Clements (Stacey); grandchildren, Carissa White, Addison Clements, and Amanda Causey (David); great grandchildren, Remington, Ryder, Makinzi, and Joelyn Causey; Pat’s sister and brother-in-law, Tammy Landrum Webb (Christopher) of St. George Island, Florida; and Joe’s brother and sister-in-law, Greg Barlow (Sheila) of Georgetown, Ohio. They were both preceded in death by their parents and Pat by her brother, Jerry Michael Landrum, Joe by his brother, James (Jimmy) Bartow, Jr.
