Patricia Cox

Patricia A. Cox, age 74, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Mars Hill Christian Church Cemetery, Climax, Georgia. The Rev. Edward Seabrooks will officiate. In accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing and to wear protective masks. Patricia is survived by her daughters, Teresa Avery, Pam Robinson, Penny Byrne (Richard), and Tammy Cutchin (Michael), all of Bainbridge; sisters, Pearl Maxwell of Bainbridge and Doris Wesley of Mendota, Illinois; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leon Richard Blair. Patricia was born September 22, 1946 in Whigham, Georgia to Alvin Lawrence Owens, Sr. and Annie Eunice Harrell Owens Page. Patricia was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching The Price is Right and her soaps on television. She also never missed The Steve Wilco Show. Patricia was strong-willed and independent. She was a huge Elvis fan. She loved to go fishing and have fish fries. Patricia loved anytime she could cook for her family. Gardening in the yard or for vegetables made her happy. Most of all Patricia was all about her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest pleasure. Patricia Cox will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.
