Patricia Dancer

Patricia Ann Baxley Dancer, age 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 in Tallahassee, FL. Patricia was born and raised in Seminole County, GA by Roy and Bernice Baxley. She graduated from Seminole County High School in 1963 and had a long career in banking. Patricia truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as reading a good book, chatting with her friends, keeping the nursery at church and shopping with her friend, the late Paula Wolfe. She met everyone with a smile and enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything, especially with her grandkids. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Colquitt, GA. Patricia will be dearly missed by the family and friends she adored.

Patricia Ann Baxley Dancer was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Bernice Baxley, her husband, Walter "Tubby" Dancer, her son Lane Dancer and her sister Betty (Kenneth) Hodges. She is survived by her sons Jeff (Shea) Dancer of Leesburg,Ga, Brad Dancer of Colquitt, GA and her two grandchildren Joy & Walt Dancer of Leesburg, GA. She is survived by her brothers Ronnie (LaRue) Baxley of Tallahassee, FL and Phillip (Alice) Baxley of Live Oak, FL. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June23, at the chapel of Colquitt First Baptist Church, 351 East Pine Street, Colquitt, Georgia. The Rev. Mark Worsley will officiate. The family will receive friends before the service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
