Patricia Mills Edison, 72, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Art Bruce officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Thomas Cemetery with Jason Mills, Archie Mills, Adam Mills, Tom Head, Greg Bromberger, and Eric Hall serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Edison was born December 21, 1940 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Edwin Mills and Roma Levada Perkins Mills. She was a retired school teacher with the Decatur County Board of Education and was a member of the ADK. Mrs. Edison was a member of First Baptist Church and the Hilda Byrd Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, William "Bill" Edison of Bainbridge, GA; her daughters, Vanessa Edison Head and her husband, Tom, of Southlake, TX, Celeste Edison Bromberger and her husband, Greg, of Chapel Hill, NC, and Heather Edison Hall and her husband, Eric, of Colquitt, GA; her siblings, Herman Mills and his wife, Debra, of Climax, GA, Archie Mills and his wife, Karen, of Climax, GA, Diane Bishop and her husband, Mike, of Cairo, GA, and Kathy Burch and her husband, Tom, of Cairo, GA; her grandchildren, William Head, Griffin Head, Brett Bromberger, Brock Bromberger, Jack Mercer Hall, and Mary Vines Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Mills and Roma Levada Perkins Mills; and her sister, Joyce Whitfield.
