Patricia Murphy

Ms. Patricia Diane Allen Murphy, age 69, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016, at her home in Cairo, Georgia. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church. Pastor Jimmy Parker will officiate. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Neal Watts, Dennis Watts, Tony Allen, Allen Corbin, Steve Cox, and Matthew Nellis will serve as pallbearers. Phillip Corbin as an honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Patricia Diane Allen Murphy was born September 3, 1946, in Etna, Georgia, to William Frank Allen and Mary Anne Roberts Allen. She worked at Ithaca Industries and Caterpillar before her retirement. Diane is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tuleda Ann and David Arnold Corbin of Adel, Georgia; grandchildren, Heather Lynn Corbin, Phillip Corbin and wife, Dawn, and Allen Corbin and wife, Heather; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Katlyn, and Kelsey Nellis, Claire and Cane Corbin, Allen and Tristen Corbin; sisters, Jean Watts and Frances Cox of Cairo; and nephew, Tony Allen. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Allen.
