Mrs. Patricia Ann Walsingham Thompson, age 75, of Cairo, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016, in Thomasville, Georgia. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo, Georgia. Patricia was born January 11, 1941, in Grady County, Georgia, to W. Willard Walsingham and Hazel Inez Cain Walsingham. She married Jack William Thompson. She and Jack have been partners for almost 49 years. Patricia worked as a legal secretary. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Patricia loved to travel. She will be dearly missed by the family and many friends she loved so much. Patricia Thompson is survived by her husband, Jack William Thompson of Cairo; children, Melissa Ann Holliman and husband, Karl of Double Oak, Texas, Kathy Louise Pollock of Ochlocknee, Georgia, Jefferson Willard Thompson of Wilmington, North Carolina,and Hugh William Thompson of Arcadia, Florida; sister, Hazel Elizabeth (Libby) Walsingham Maxwell of Cairo; brothers, Skeet Walsingham and wife, Clara of Leander, Texas, and Gary Walsingham of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren, Jackie Thompson of Wilmington, N.C., Karl Christian Holliman, Jr. and wife, Tonia of The Colony, Texas,and Victoria Holliman Drake and husband, Jerry of Washington, D.C.; great grandchild, Matthew Brandon Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jherri Norton, son-in-law, Dennis Pollock, and grandson, John William Hampton Pollock.
