Patsy Bynum

Patsy Annette Baker Bynum, age 79, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Pinewood Nursing Center in Whigham, Georgia. The family will hold a private service with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo, Georgia.

Patsy was born June 26, 1946, in Thomasville, Georgia, to James Oscar Baker and Jewell Muggridge Baker. Patsy was blessed with two children that she loved dearly. She loved to go to church and, when she was able, attended Thomasville Church of God. She was always reading the Bible and praising God. Patsy had health issues and has been in Pinewood Nursing Center for many years. A precious mother and friend, she will be dearly missed.

Patsy Baker Bynum is survived by her children, Melvin Tommy Carver, Jr. (Shaunna Jenkins) of Bainbridge, Georgia and Robert (Robby) Carver (Amy) of Perry, Georgia; her sister, Kathy Baker of Whigham; grandchildren, Jordan Debose (David), Hamilton Richard Carver (Alex) and Donna and Taylor Powell, all of Cairo; and great-grandchildren, Mason Debose, Cole Debose, Fayelynn Debose, and Lainey Carver.
