Patsy Evans

Mrs. Patsy NeSmith Evans, 69, of Ellijay, GA (formerly of Bainbridge), passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Morningside Baptist Church with Dr. Kenneth Cloud officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Mrs. Evans was born April 14, 1940 in Thomas County, GA, the daughter of Fred and Nannie Hardin NeSmith. She was a graduate of Thomasville High School, Class of 1958, and was a retired Administrative Coordinator for the Decatur County Health Department. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ellijay, GA where she was active in the Chancel Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Bobby Evans. Survivors include her two sons, Steve Evans and his wife Kim of Columbus, GA and Richard Evans of Atlanta, GA; her daughter, Gina Evans Putman and her husband Mike of Ellijay, GA; her brother, Norman NeSmith of Thomasville, GA; and three grandchildren, Rachel Evans, Laura Leigh Putman and Katie Putman.
