Paul Lankford

Paul R. Lankford, 77, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chuck Sayers officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery. Mr. Lankford was born December 7, 1932 in Madisonville, TN, the son of Raymond Lankford and Lessie Beatrice Powell Lankford. He served in the United States Marine Corps, worked in heavy equipment construction and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Rowena Bates Lankford. Survivors include three sons, Wesley Lankford of Bainbridge, GA, Ricky Lankford of Eugene, OR and Terry Lankford of Bainbridge, GA; four brothers, David Lankford, Gary Lankford and Rick Lankford all of Athens, TN and Kenny Lankford of Detriot, MI; two sisters, Betty Ann Lankford and Brenda Lankford both of Athens, TN and six grandchildren.
