Phillip Whiddon

Phillip R. Whiddon, 91, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Danny Shepard officiating. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery. Mr. Whiddon was born November 8, 1921 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of William Alexander Whiddon and Bertha Lillian Humphrey Whiddon. He was a graduate of Pine Hill High School and retired as a line operator for ITT Thompson. Mr. Whiddon was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Whiddon, Willie Whiddon, Murray Whiddon, and Lanier Whiddon; and his sisters, Mamie Hull, Corrie Wall, Elise Daniels, and Doris Howell.
