It is with heavy hearts and profound love that the family of Phyllis Wilson Mitchell, age 78, of Bainbridge, GA announce her peaceful passing Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Services for Ms. Mitchell will be held Sunday, August 23rd, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home, Bainbridge, GA. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Private Interment will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery, Quincy, Florida. This is a celebration of her life and home going, please no black clothing and wear your happiest colors.
The family asks that donations be made to Grace Christian Academy, 1302 Lake Douglas Road, Bainbridge, Georgia and/or Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society, 808 Zorn Road, Bainbridge, GA 39817.
