Phyllis Morris

Phyllis Morris, 73, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at her residence. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Oak City Cemetery with Rev. Ron McCaskill officiating. Mrs. Morris was born August 9, 1942 in North Carolina, the daughter of Herbert B. Carland and Wilma Lee McFalls Carland. Phyllis was a homemaker who loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her sons, David Morris and wife Cindy of Jakin, Jerry Morris and wife Pauline of Americus, and Eugene Morris of Donalsonville; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Morris-Beckwith of Bainbridge; a brother, Dale Carland of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, George M. Morris; a son, George M. "Cracker" Morris, Jr.; a great-grandchild, Arianna Davis; and her brother, Harold Lee Carland.
