R Green

Mr. R L Green, age 87, of Attapulgus, Georgia, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mr. Green will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 17, 2019, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. The Rev. Marty Brock will officiate. Interment will follow in Attapulgus Cemetery. R L Green was born May 15, 1931, to R E Green and Dicy Griner Green. His parents have preceded him in death. He married the love of his life, Delores Pitts Green. They were married for 68 years. He lost Delores in 2017. R L worked for Engelhard Mineral and Chemical Company (BASF) for over 40 years. He was a good man, good father and grandfather. Part of his routine was a daily trip to check out the goings-on in Attapulgus. R L loved to fish and loved his antique cars. R L Green will be missed by his many friends and loving family. R L Green is survived by his children, Michael Green of Attapulgus and Kathryn Green Turner of Quincy, Florida; sister, Louise Hecht of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Melissa Turner Martin, Jamie Green, Jennifer Kimbrel (Joe), and Megan Green; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son, Lamar Green.
