Randy Wimberly, 49, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with John Swicord, Jason Barlow, Dale McLendon, Lester Brown, Lawson "Big Boy" Wimberly, and Randy Yawn serving as active pallbearers. He was a mechanic for the Decatur County Road Department for 18 years and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Margaret Wimberly of Bainbridge, GA; his children, Ashley Wimberly of Bainbridge, GA, Amanda Wimberly of Bainbridge, GA, and Aaron Wimberly of Bainbridge, GA; his brother, Mike Wimberly of Bainbridge, GA; his mother, Vennie C. Wimberly; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard "Preacher" Wimberly.
