Mr. Ray Cook, age 72, of Tallahassee, Florida passed away Monday, February 14, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia. His services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011, graveside at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Al Murkerson will be officiating. The family will receive friends, 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Ray Cook was born in Miller County, Georgia on June 3, 1938 to Erving and Mae Long Cook. He worked as a machinist at C. & C. Machine Shop. Ray loved to fish and loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his children: Patricia McLendon and husband, Kenneth, of Vada, Georgia and Bobby Cook and wife, Renee, of Tallahassee, Florida; sisters: Marcia Gayle Cook and Sybil Cook of Perry, Georgia; brothers: Ross Cook and wife, Inez of Albany, Georgia; Jimmy Cook and wife, Beverly, of Cairo, Georgia; Charles Cook of Bainbridge; Ronnie Cook and wife, Kay, of Bainbridge; grandchildren: Donnie McLendon and wife, Jennifer, of Ft. Stewart, Georgia; Shawn McLendon of Vada, Georgia; Shane Godwin of Cairo, Georgia; Rachel Godwin, Cody Cook, and Austin Cook, all of Tallahassee, Florida; great-grandchildren: Bryson and Madison McLendon of Ft.
