Raymond Bullock

Raymond (R. L.) Bullock, 64, of Pine Mountain, GA, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stan Blount officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery with Raymond L. Bullock, Jr., Lamar Edwards, Billy McConnell, Colby McConnell, Zachary McConnell, Jim Sutton and Taylor Sutton serving as active pallbearers. Mr. Bullock was born August 6, 1945 in Quincy, FL, the son of Lonnie Jay Bullock and Laura Belle Burke Bullock. He was a graduate of Shanks High School, Class of 1963, and was a sales representative with Higdon Grocery Company in Quincy, FL and May and Co. in Columbus for many years. He retired as a store manager for Suwanee Swifty, Inc., and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Columbus, GA. Survivors include his wife Elsie Blount Bullock of Pine Mountain, GA; his son, Raymond L. Bullock, Jr. of Hammond, IN; his daughters, Donna McConnell and her husband, Billy of Bainbridge, GA and Debra Sutton and her husband, Jim of Defuniak Springs, FL; his brother, Donnie Bullock and his wife, Dodie of Hamilton, GA; his sister, Patricia Sanders and her husband, John of Mobile, AL; eight grandchildren, Amber Cook, Colby McConnell, Sheena Peavy, Dusty Sutton, Lindsey Hand, Zachary McConnell, Caylee McConnell and Taylor Sutton; and five great-grandchildren.
