Mr. Richard A. Byrd, 77, passed away Friday, August 24, 2007 at his residence in Tallahassee, FL. A private funeral service will be Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church near Whigham, GA with Mr. Robert Stauffer officiating. Mr. Byrd was born October 3, 1929 in Bainbridge, GA, to the late Clarence Ralph Byrd and Mollie Worn Byrd. He graduated from Bainbridge High School and attended Georgia Tech. He was a retired rate analyst for the Florida Public Service Commission. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Miller Byrd of Tallahassee, FL; two daughters, Tommee B. Stauffer and husband Robert of Havana, FL, and Sallee B. Burch and husband Ron of Tallahassee, FL; three grandchildren, Richard B. Johnson, Sarah Louise Stauffer, and Aelon Audra Suskey and husband Alan; and a great-grandson, Reis Alan Suskey.
