Richard Byrd Johnson, 26, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, FL. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Forest Heights Baptist Church in Tallahassee, FL with Pastor Dawn Knighton and Pastor Jim Lehman officiating, and will conclude at the church. Interment will be at Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Whigham, GA. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. He was a member of Lake Talquin Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Sallee Byrd Burch and her husband, Ron, of Tallahassee, FL; his father, Chester Daniel Johnson, II of Tallahassee, FL; his beloved bulldog, Boo Boo; his brother, Destry Burch and his wife, Amy, of Tallahassee, FL; his aunt, Tommee Byrd Stauffer of Havana, FL; his uncles, Danny P. Johnson and Loren D. Johnson, both of Tallahassee, FL; and many cousins, including Sarah Louise Stauffer of Tallahassee, FL and Aelon S. Suskey and her husband, Alan, of Pinellas Park, FL.
