Richard Moore

Mr. Richard M. Moore, age 61, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, with his family by his side. Services for Mr. Moore will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2:00 p.m., at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. The Rev. DeWitt Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. James Rose, Donnie Roland, Scott Eakin, Terril Resler, Tyler Lopez, and Matt Ricks will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. Richard M. Moore was born January 17, 1962, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to John D. Moore, Sr. and Vallienna Shattles Moore Cutchens. Richard loved to work. He was a talented mechanic and enjoyed selling cars. He wasn’t a hunter but enjoyed collecting guns. Richard loved his family and, especially, his grandchildren. He was a friend to so many people and ready to help anyone. Richard will be dearly missed by his family and many, many friends. Mr. Moore was survived by his children, Ricky Moore (Hali) of Climax, Mickey Moore (Jackie) of Cairo, and Brent Brown (Danielle) of Climax; siblings, John Moore, Jr., James Moore, and Tracy Lynn Cooper; grandchildren, Lyric Moore, Jadyn Moore, Saydee Moore (Say Say), Mickey Moore, Jr. (Mick Mick), Jack Brown (Jack Jack), and Delilah Brown (La La); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Leon Moore, Debbie Kelley, Virginia Moore, Clara Carter, Clarise Moore.
