Mr. Richard D. Odegaard, 84, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Memorial Hospital. The memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gerald A. Little officiating. Mr. Odegaard was born June 16, 1923 in Beloit, Wisconsin to the late Herman and Nellie Berg Odegaard. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired retail sales manager. Survivors include his wife and best friend of 63 years, Isobel Ramsay Odegaard of Bainbridge, GA; a son, Kirk D. Odegaard and wife Robyn of Somerset, NJ; two daughters, Heather Mapp of Eastpoint, FL and Bonnie Bel Ellerbee and husband Sammy of Griffin, GA; 3 grandchildren, Heidi Chambers and husband Kirk of Bainbridge, GA, Nick Ellerbee and wife Beth of Columbus, GA, and Neil Ellerbee and wife Sarah of Woodstock, GA; 5 great-grandchildren, Ramsay Chambers and Emily Chambers, both of Bainbridge, GA, Connor Ellerbee and Addison Ellerbee, both of Columbus, GA, and Westley Ellerbee of Woodstock, GA; and his rascal pup, Hercules.
