Richard C. "Ricky" Smith, 60, of Camilla, GA, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Delwood Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas P. Long and Rev. Andy Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery with Jerry Sharber, Eddie Sharber, Buster Bell, Greg Murray, Byrl Harrell, Sonny Darley, Randyl Godwin, and Lowell Dollar serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Ricky was born May 23, 1953 in Bainbridge, GA, and was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1972. He was a farmer, a member and former deacon of Delwood Baptist Church, and served on the Board of Directors of Georgia Farm Bureau. He loved working with his cows, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Bonnie Hayes Smith of Camilla, GA; his sons, Sammy Smith and his wife, Cathy, of Camilla, GA and Clay Smith and his wife, Kasey, of Bainbridge GA; his mother, Laverne Ammons Smith of Bainbridge, GA; his brothers, Terrelle Smith of Camilla, GA and Glenn Smith of Camilla, GA; and his grandchildren, Morris Smith, Ellie Smith, and Charlie Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard S. Smith.
