Robert Haire

Robert David Haire, 73, of Powder Springs, GA (formerly of Attapulgus, GA) passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Attapulgus Church of God. Interment will follow at Attapulgus Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Haire was born August 24, 1940 in Colquitt, GA, the son of John Thomas Haire and Treva Lunsford Haire. He was a graduate of Attapulgus High School, Class of 1958, and Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Haire was a project manager and engineer with Englehard Corp and a member of Attapulgus Church of God. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patricia Brock Haire of Powder Springs, GA; his children, Tracy Haire of Tallahassee, FL and David Haire of Powder Springs, GA; his siblings, Wayne Haire of Bainbridge, GA, Tommy Haire of Quincy, FL, and Sherilyn H. Phillips of Tallahassee, FL; and his grandchildren, Tyler Haire, Casey Haire, and Ryne Haire. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Terry Haire, and Faye Dawson.
