Robert Love

Mr. Robert Lee (Bobby) Love, Jr., age 88, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home, Donalsonville, Georgia. A service to honor Bobby will be held at 11:00, Saturday, March 8, Kimbrel Chapel, 2523 GA-91, Colquitt, Georgia. The Rev. Bobby Smith will officiate.

Robert Lee Love, Jr. was born April 9, 1936, in Early County, Georgia, to Robert Lee Love, Sr. and Rachel Anglin Love. He grew up in the community of Lucille. On Christmas Eve, 66 years ago, he married the love of his life, Mary Cashwell Love. Bobby worked as a truck driver and was a talented mechanic. He loved gardening and had a very “green” thumb. Bobby Love leaves behind a large family, and he will be deeply missed.

Mr. Love is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Frances Cashwell Love of Colquitt, Georgia; children, Barbara Richardson (David) of Columbia, Alabama, David Love of Blakely, Georgia, Rickey Love of Blakely, and Karen Shores of Donalsonville; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Annette Garrod (Wallace), Molly Bush, Wynell Murkerson (Clifford) and Wilbur Love. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Racheal Love; sisters, Inez Loyed, and Doris Winters; brother, Kenneth Love; a very special former daughter-in-law, Gloria Young, as well as many nieces and nephews.
