Mr. Robert Stuckey, age 83, passed away early Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at his home in Climax, Georgia. Private services will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at the home of Bobby and Susan Stuckey, 2875 Collins Road, Whigham, Georgia, on Saturday, October 29, 2016, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mr. Stuckey was born March 17, 1933, in Whigham, Georgia, to the late Paul Stuckey and Eula McConnell Stuckey. He served his country in the United States Army. Robert was married to Betty Delois (Lois) Thomas Stuckey, who survives. He was a heavy equipment operator that was employed with Robert Brothers Construction Company, Quincy, Florida. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Stuckey is survived by his wife, Betty Delois (Lois) Thomas Stuckey of Climax; children, Patricia Cox of Pelham, Georgia, Sue Atkinson and husband, Kenneth of Cairo, Phyllis VanNess and husband, Carl of Eldorado, Illinois, Robert (Bobby) Stuckey and wife, Susan of Whigham, Georgia, and Gary Stuckey and wife, Sharon of Cairo; grandchildren, Beverly Shirley and husband, Ryan of Bainbridge, Brian Atkinson and wife, Jenny of Cairo, Michelle Cox and husband, Dale of Cairo, James Cox , Jr. of Pelham, Georgia, Sherry Osborn and husband, Rex of Whigham, Stephanie Bufford and husband, Mike of Thomasville, Georgia, Dallas Johnson and wife, Melissa of Cairo, Levy Stuckey of Cairo, Ashley Hurst and husband, Burt of Cairo, Ansley Stuckey of Whigham; 13 great-grandchildren; and stepson, Will (Billy) Fletcher. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife and mother of his children, Louise Hall Stuckey.
