Robert (Bob) John Werner, SR., Age 68, of New Smyrna Beach, FL, passed away Tuesday June 19, 2007 at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fl. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Coronado Community United Methodist Church, in New Smyrna Beach, FL with Rev. Robert C. Brown officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Attapulgus Cemetery with Pastor Carrie Austin officiating. Mr. Werner was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was a retired Airline executive with Eastern Airlines and Miami Airline International. Bob was also a United States veteran who served as an Air Traffic Controller and was a member of the Eastern Airlines Retirees Association. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Bettice Miller Werner of New Smyrna Beach, FL; a son, Robert John Werner Jr. and his wife Bobbie of New Smyrna Beach, FL; a daughter, Elizabeth Pope and her husband Cade of Lake Mary, FL; 3 grandsons, Jamie, Steven, and Brody; his mother, Claire Werner of Palm Bay, Florida; and a brother, Richard L. Werner of Palm Bay, FL.
