Robert Wisham

Robert Eugene Wisham, 57, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, November 2, 2009 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gus Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Father's Home Church Cemetery with Darrell Cox, Dennis Cox, Keith Midler, Jamie McMillan, Johnny Edwards and Kent Wisham serving as active pallbearers. Robert was born December 11, 1951 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of John Edgar Wisham, Jr. and Bernice Taylor Wisham. He was a self employed contractor, an avid reader, loved studying history and was of the Baptist faith. Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Palmer. Survivors include his wife of thirty-seven years, Barbara Harvey Wisham of Bainbridge, GA; two sons, Jeremy Wisham and his wife Rachel of Cairo, GA; Jason Wisham and his fiancé Jennifer of Bainbridge, GA; his daughter, Amy Taylor and her husband Eric of Kingsland, GA; his parents, John and Bernice Wisham of Camilla, GA; his brother, Rodney Wisham and his wife Patrice of Camilla, GA; his sister, Kathy Wisham of Lee, FL; and five grandchildren, Sadie, Katie, Aidan, Lydia and Mallory.
