Rodney Sellars

Mr. Rodney (Pug) Phillip Sellars, age 71, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Memorial Manor II, in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mr. Sellars will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian Hatchett will officiate. Dwight Newman, Pat Berardi, Walter Goodman, Kenneth Harvey, Brad Kelley, and Jerry Brown will serve as pallbearers. The interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, 6:00-8:00 pm, at Cox Funeral Home. Rodney Phillip Sellars was born November 1, 1945, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to Oscar Alvin Sellars and Mable Inez Mills Sellars. He grew up and lived his entire life here. Rodney was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He loved watching television. Enjoyed music and dancing. Pug liked to talk politics. Mostly, he loved his family. Rodney Sellars will be sorely missed by his many family and friends. Rodney Sellars is survived by his sisters and brothers, Marlene Ingram of Bainbridge, Sandra Faye Kosemund of Cleveland, Tennessee, Al Sellars and wife, Thelma of Alfa, Florida, Dwain Sellars and wife, Teresa of Bainbridge, Kyle Sellars of Thomasville, Georgia, and Steve Sellars of Floral City, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sally Frances Newman.
