Rosa Lee Gainous White, 92, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Mrs. White was born November 24, 1920 in Cairo, GA, the daughter of Harvey Lee Gainous and Avie Whigham Gainous. She was a Christian wife, loving mother, and a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Gerald White of Climax, GA; her daughter, Mary Alice Godwin and her husband, Johnny, of Thomasville, GA; her 8 grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband George W. White; her son, Kenneth White; her daughter, Christine W. McRae; and her siblings, Gladys Calhoun, Evelyn Gainous, Myrtle Lambert, Winnie Mae Duren, Frances Gainous, Herman Gainous, L. B. Gainous, and Fondren Gainous.
