Roxanne Williams Gilstrap, 57, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am at Bethel Assembly of God Church on Saturday, November 18, 2017 with Damon Gilstrap officiating.Memorial donations may be made to Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society, 1250 Cox Avenue, Bainbridge, GA 39819. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com.Roxanne Williams was born July 29, 1960 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Cecil and Juanita McCullers Williams. She was a dispatcher at Walter Farms. Roxanne was of Baptist faith.Roxanne had an investigative spirit. She loved to get to the bottom of things and could be found learning new strategies while watching investigative reports on television. Her favorite place was home where she spent most of her time outside of work. Roxanne also enjoyed everything about the Flint River. She searched for rocks and arrowheads when she wasn't air boating. Roxanne's grandchildren have fond memories of swimming with "Granny" on the Creek.Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Edwin Gilstrap; her children, Jacob Gilstrap and Jesse Gilstrap both of Bainbridge and Damon Gilstrap and his wife, Casey, of Greensboro, FL; her siblings, Dewayne Williams, Gloria Harrell and her husband, Larry, Phillip Williams, Melanie Krasala and her husband, Mike, all of Bainbridge, and Gayland Williams and his wife, Pat, of Cordele; her grandchildren, Sophia, Xander, Alex, Haley and Olan; and her feline friend, Prissy Britches. Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Juanita Williams and her brother, Gene Williams.
