Roy C. Dahl, Jr., 83, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Conrad Salter officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors and full Masonic Graveside Rites provided by Orion Lodge #8 F. & A.M. Mr. Dahl was born June 19, 1929 in Chicago, IL, the son of Roy Clynard Dahl and Edith Callison Dahl. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and retired as a Sergeant First Class after 24 years. Mr. Dahl was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Orion Lodge # 8 F. & A.M., the Bainbridge Shrine Club, and Hasan Shrine Temple. He enjoyed playing bass guitar and harmonica. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Burnam Dahl of Bainbridge, GA; his son, Thomas Dahl and his wife, Susan, of Bainbridge, GA; his grandchildren, Chris Miller and his wife, Amanda, and Becky Gibson; and his six great-grandchildren.
