Roy Gunn

Roy Michael "Mike" Gunn, 59, of Attapulgus, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Attapulgus Church of God with Rev. Joseph Crews officiating. Interment will follow at Attapulgus Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Baty, James Spears, Ike Ellerbee, Ben McWhorter, Jack Hale, Jody Fletcher, Randall Kendrick, and Joshua Gunn serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Attapulgus Church of God, P.O. Box 70, Attapulgus, GA 39815. Mike was born March 30, 1952 in Bainbridge, GA. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1970, and a truck driver. He was a member of Attapulgus Church of God. Mike loved fishing and the outdoors. Survivors include his daughter, Mandy Gunn Morris and her husband, Jason, of Winter Garden, FL; his son, Joshua Michael Gunn of Longwood, FL; his mother, Margie Faircloth Gunn of Attapulgus, GA; his brother, Jerry Gunn and his wife, Vickie, of Ashburn, GA; his sister, Lisa Gunn Chavis and her husband, Edward, of Attapulgus, GA; his grandchildren, Katie Morris and Jay Morris; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Gunn.
