Roy Hoskins

Mr. Roy S. Hoskins, 79, passed away Wednesday April 11, 2007 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan AL. The funeral service will be Saturday April 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ellis Hardwick officiating. Interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery in Brinson GA with Ricky Bland, Wayne Hutto, Leon Brogdon, Gene Phillips, Tommy Lashley and Harry Lashley serving as active pallbearers. Mr. Hoskins was born December 9, 1929 in Panama City, FL to the late Ervin Lawrence Hoskins and Betty Golden Day Hoskins. He was a farmer and a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church. Survivors include two daughters, Kay Hutto and husband Shannon, and Tina Roland, all of Brinson, GA; four sons, David Hoskins and wife Pam of Donalsonville, GA, Don Hoskins and wife Lisa of Brinson, GA, Tommy Nix and wife Sherrie of Bainbridge, GA, and Jimmy Nix of Reynoldsville, GA; two brothers, Ervin Hoskins and Ruben Hoskins, both of Panama City, FL; three sisters, Bessie Braswell of Pensacola, FL, Willie Mae Culverson of Whigham, GA, and Maggie Myrick of Panacea, FL; 17 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
