Ruby Hall

Ruby Franklin Buie Hall, 87, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas P. Long and Rev. Danny Shepard officiating and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery with Ronnie Franklin, Jacky Grubbs, Billy Birdsong, Gerald Franklin, Johnny Birdsong, and Jerry Henry serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Fleishman, Jerry Pollock, Gene Hendrix, Buddy Griffin, Jack Palmer, Dr. Philip Todaro, Dr. Jack Leverett, Dr. Jay Leverett, Watson Sasser, James Stewart, Jim Mitchell, Bennie Brookins, Sonny Rentz, Ron Gilyard, Carlton Cook, and Vernon Smith. Mrs. Hall was born October 17, 1925 in Eldorendo, GA, the daughter of John Franklin and Matilda Whittaker Franklin. She was valedictorian of Pine Hill High School, Class of 1942 and a graduate of Perry Business School. Mrs. Hall was a branch manager for Southern Discount Company, which later became Fleet Finance Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church, American Legion Post #62 Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post #4904 Ladies Auxiliary, Tarah Temple #150 Daughters of the Nile, Past President of Bainbridge Pilot Club, and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her sons, Wayne Buie and his wife, Nancy, of Dublin, GA and Johnny Buie and his wife, Chee Chee, of Bainbridge, GA; her brother, Jack Franklin of Seattle WA; her sister, Annie Krause of Albany, GA; her grandchildren, Chandler Buie, Chuck Buie, Charla B. Sathe, Darbi B. Brock, and Mack Buie; and her 4 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husbands, John Malcolm "Mack" Buie and Donald C. Hall.
