Ruth Coxwell

Mrs. Ruth Meggs Coxwell, 72, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Bostick officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with Allen Glisson, Andy Glisson, Bill Lewis, Dick Lay, Brian Powell and Donnie Carlton. Mrs. Coxwell was born August 27, 1936 in Blountstown, FL, the daughter of James Claudie Bryant and Lillie Mae Henderson Bryant. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother and was of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Coxwell of Bainbridge, GA; four sons, Fredrick "Ricky" Pheasant and his wife Rebecca of Senatobia, MS, Neal Meggs and his wife Rose of Bainbridge, GA, Steve Meggs and his wife Nancy of Bainbridge, GA and Tracy Meggs and his wife Amanda of Bainbridge, GA; two daughters, Leesa Stevens and her husband Geary of Bainbridge, GA and Dyann Howell and her husband David of Bainbridge, GA; her brother, James Bryant of Pueblo, CO; two sisters, Johnnie Mae McCollum of Blountstown, FL and Vickie Trussel of Tallahassee, FL; eight grandchildren, Rita Pheasant Mize, Cody Meggs, Dwight Meggs, Mollie Meggs, Doug Stevens, Tiffanie Stevens, Glee Powell and Michael Singletary and thirteen great-grandchildren.
