S. Cook

S. T. Cook, 80, of Daleville, AL, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 at his residence. The graveside funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Oak City Cemetery with Rev. Stan Bray and Dr. Danny Shepard officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence, 809 Boulevard Dr, Bainbridge, GA. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Cook was born April 29, 1928 in Clearwater, FL, the son of Jacob Joseph Cook and Daisy Ferguson Cook. He graduated from Bogart (GA) High School in 1945 and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an aircraft mechanic with Southern Airways, Bell Helicopter, and retired from management with Northrop Grumman Corporation at Ft. Rucker, AL. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Bray Cook. Survivors include his daughter, Linda McDowell and her husband James of Bainbridge, GA; his grandson, Jeff A. McDowell of Dothan, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
