Sammy Boyd

Sammy L. Boyd, 63, of Brinson, GA, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Chris Boyd officiating. Mr. Boyd was born June 9, 1951 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Herbert Lee Boyd and Willie Eudene Vickers Boyd. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1969 and a member of Mt. Gilead Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Boyd worked for Thomas and Betts for 15 years and repaired tractors for Bainbridge Tractor. He enjoyed water skiing and barrel racing, and go-carts. Survivors include his siblings, Randy Boyd and his wife, Diane, of Lakeland, FL, Diane B. Bellflower of Brinson, GA and Brenda Boyd of Brinson, GA.
