Sammy H. "Bert" Gray, Jr., 50, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Miller County Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Benny Ray Cunningham and Rev. Tim Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Mark Mitchell, Ryan Mitchell, Chris Hill, Matt Hill, J. W. Putnal, and Lee Sapp serving as active pallbearers. Mr. Gray was born May 5, 1962 in Quincy, FL, the son of Sammy Hubert Gray and Ann Carol Rowan Gray. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a truck driver. Survivors include his son, Sammy H. Gray, III and his wife, Patricia, of Wetumpka, Al; his mother, Nancy L. Gray of Bainbridge, GA; his brother, Fred Gray of Wesley Chapel, FL; his sister, Angie Goodwin of Bainbridge, GA. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Gray.
