Sara Nell Hines, 87, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Shepard officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home. She married Elbert Ewin Hines and lived all of her life in Bainbridge. "Miss Nell", as she was known to so many, loved people. Many will remember her sweet smile and welcoming spirit at Eastside Grocery which she owned and operated for many years. She was a strong woman and worked from sun up to sun down. "Miss Nell" was a faithful Christian and enjoyed listening to gospel music. Her favorite flower was a rose, a perfect symbol of her life, reminding us of the beauty even where there are thorns. Survivors include her son, Terry Hines of Bainbridge; her brother, Ronny Turner of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Bert Hines and his wife, Crystal and Brian Hines and his wife, Heidi; and her great-grandchildren, Brooks and Sarah Collins Hines. Nell was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
