Sarah Heard

Sarah Watson Heard, 90, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2007 at County Line Baptist Church with Rev. Hoyt Donley officiating. Interment will follow at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery with Sam Heard, Steve Heard, Steve Edwards, Jr., Van Edwards, Scottie Phillips, and Jeremy Heard serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Heard was born June 17, 1917 in Baker County, GA to the late Samuel Mitchell Watson and Peggy Heard Watson. She was a homemaker and a member of County Line Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Van Buren Heard. Survivors include a son, Melvin "Bud" Heard of Albany, GA; three daughters, Mildred Heard Edwards of Albany, GA, Betty Sue Heard Phillips of Albany, GA, and Sandra Heard Bradley of Hutto, TX; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
